Description

PROJECT BACKGROUND: Alberta Parks has 22 established campgrounds and day use areas in the West Central Region of Alberta Parks. Signage within the PRA’s has reached it life expectancy or is outdated, and replacement is required to comply with current standards. Bidders are welcome to bid on phase 1, phase 2, phase 3 or any combination of phases in this project. Due to budget and time constraints the province may move forward with any combination of phases or none. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: Install and/or replacement of sign parts for compliance to current Parks Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) standards. SCOPE OF WORK: •Complete First Call and secondary line locates where applicable (i.e. Fish Lake). •Receive sign parts (signs only supplied by Alberta Parks) from Crimson Lake Provincial Park maintenance area and haul onto designated sites. •Supply materials, haul onto site, signposts and all associated hardware for sign part replacement, according to Parks directions and specifications. •Erect signage for public acknowledgement of construction in progress. •Removal of non-compliant sign parts according to Parks directions. •Install new signposts and tamp into place with excavated soil where directed and install 1027 new Parks sign supplied by Alberta Parks in three different phases. Details on placement of posts and signs will take place during site visitation and kick off meeting. •Signs range in size from; 150mmX300mm to 1200mmX2400mm. •Clean up of the site and remove all debris created during sign part replacement. Cleanup of work site is required and debris to be disposed of offsite, and not in Parks refuse containers.
