Description

The City of Calgary is seeking up to four (4) consulting firms to provide multi-disciplinary engineering consulting services to support the dam safety work at The City related to the Alberta Dam Safety Directive of 2018 (DSD) Alberta dam and canal safety directive - Open Government. Tasks will vary for each dam, including, but not limited to: (a) Review and reassessment of dam consequence classification per Part 3 of the DSD. (b) Development and/or updating of The City’s current safety management plan as per Part 4 of the DSD and the City’s Dam Safety Policy (available in Appendix F) in respect to safety assessment and safety reviews, public safety risks, as per the DSD. (c) Engineering inspection, annual performance review, safety review and risk assessment, as per Part 5 of the DSD. (d) Development and/or updating of Operation, Maintenance and Surveillance Plan per Part 6 of the DSD. (e) Development and/or updating of Emergency Management Plan comprised of Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Emergency Preparation Plan (EPP) and Flood Action Plan (FAP) as per Emergency management – Part 7 on the DSD. (f) Engineering support to address dam safety deficiencies.
