• The purpose of this is to provide a twenty-four foot (24 foot) enclosed trailer.
  The trailer must be upfitted as a mobile sampling lab for the Ministry of Natural Resources’ use in various field locations, primarily on Lake Erie to conduct fisheries surveys.
• Scope of Work
  The Ministry of Natural Resources’ Lake Erie Management Unit (LEMU) is responsible for managing Ontario’s commercial and recreational fisheries in the southwest region, accomplished through the monitoring, assessment and research of aquatic resources of Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, and connecting waters (i.e. the Detroit, St. Clair and Niagara Rivers).

  The facilities at LEMU’s Port Dover location are being reconstructed and during construction (2025-2027), access to the existing temporary lab will be limited/restricted. The trailer will be used as a temporary lab during the construction phase and afterward, will be used To sample in remote offsite locations throughout all seasons. The trailer will be used to sample fish and water and needs to be upfitted to include stainless steel sampling tables, desks, storage cabinets, lighting, electrical receptacles, onboard water storage and wastewater storage.
