Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP), with support from Nova Scotia Departments of Education and Public Works, is currently underway with a ten (10) classroom modular campus at Ecole De
Sommet, Larry Uteck Drive in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Contract has been warded through NSDPW for the modular campus structures and Site Civil Improvements. This term of reference is for planning
and execution of necessary site work to build a replacement Basketball Court at the south of the school. The scope of work is summarized below, and is presented in detail in the accompanying
design package. The program will begin following project award and in consultation with CSAP. No schedule lenience or additional costs will be given due to weather. Similarly, supply chain
issues should be resolved before submission to avoid delivery delays for necessary product procurement per the design requirements. Note: This school will be in use during regular hours until
the end of June 2024. Site safety will be your responsibility during this program
Scope of work shall include the following:
• Project Management and coordination of civil and site improvements relating to the basketball Court Replacement per the attached design package.
• Contractor related health and safety for the civil and site improvements.
• Confirm utility locates for school and daylight where necessary to avoid potential buried hazards.
• Secure the “construction zone” to protect students, staff and the general public, as well as your Team.
• Provide and post appropriate signage to warn and direct users of the site.
• Conduct regular communications with the project team during the program.
• Supply all necessary equipment, labour and materials to complete the civil and site improvements outlined herein, including the accompanying drawing package.
• Finish work as outlined.
• Geotechnical reports provided for reference and consideration in bid preparation.
