Description

The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms with experience to develop a Groundwater Quality Monitoring Strategy (the “Strategy”).

The Strategy will support the CVRD Drinking Water and Watershed Protection Program’s goal of healthy watersheds and aquifers. This Strategy will enhance knowledge of groundwater quality in the Region by supporting the collection and analysis of reliable and accurate groundwater quality data. Long term groundwater data reporting and monitoring will help identify priority aquifers where water quality problems are occurring that may threaten aquatic ecosystem health, ecosystem services, and drinking water. Ultimately, the Groundwater Quality Monitoring Strategy will improve information on the region’s 58 known aquifers, and enhance protection and management of drinking water at the source.
