1 - This RFP is open to all interested suppliers.
2 - The City of Calgary (“The City”) requires the Supply & Installation of Service and High Van Bodies (“Units’) with various accessories and attachments meeting the specifications
outlined in Form 1. Units will be used by various internal end users for different municipal vocational applications throughout the year and must be capable of operation during Calgary’s
extreme weather and temperatures. The bodies will be installed on city provided chassis.
The City has a requirement for different types of service and high van bodes to be use by various internal customers as outlined in the below schedules:
- Schedule A – Service Bodies: Supply and installation of service bodies on a City owned 2WD and 4WD cab and chassis trucks. The completed trucks are to be fully functional upon delivery and
must meet Federal and Provincial vehicle safety regulations and standards.
- Schedule B – High Van Bodies: Supply and installation of high van bodies on City owned chassis. The completed trucks are to be fully functional upon delivery and must meet Federal and
Provincial vehicle safety regulations and standards.
When required, The City will reach out to each schedule’s Supplier to collaborate and finalize each Unit’s specifications and options prior to ordering to ensure the accuracy of Units
before delivery to site. Each Supplier will be expected to delivery Units ready to be put into service, as well as to provide ongoing parts and service support throughout the lifecycle of each
Unit.
3 - This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial
negotiations.
4 - The Agreement will be for a initial term of two (2) year(s). The Agreement may be renewed, four (4) times for two (2) years each time, no more than ten (10) years in total.
