Description

Notice is hereby given that the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to 1241086 BC Ltd. dba Rustic & Redefined for the following:

The City of Abbotsford requires a seasonal irrigation contractor to operate the Sumas Prairie Irrigation System. The Contractor is required to maintain suitable irrigation levels in ditches in the eight sub-sections of Sumas Lake Bottom. Each section is filled using different source of water. Approximately 90 weirs (majority fiber glass that required wood planks with some overshot gates and temporary wood boxes) are used to hold back water at different locations to ensure every farmer has sufficient water for irrigation. The Contractor is expected to operate the three irrigation water supply valves, the three irrigation stations on No. 3 Road, and the ninety irrigation weirs to ensure ditches have sufficient supply of water to meet the irrigation demand.

The contract will be for a Term of 3 years.
