Description

The purpose of this contract is for 29.3 ha of access management work and 4.8 ha of mounding in the Mackenzie Forest District. Primary work includes road rehabilitation and deactivation for caribou access management. It also includes bridge removal as part of the deactivation, and one block that requires mounding in the net area to be reforested (NAR).

BCTS has committed to reducing permanent disturbances on the land base and to protect critical caribou habitat by managing access for predators.

Other work mentioned in Schedule C may be added into the contract for 2024 field season if determined urgent by the Ministry.
