Description

The Cowichan Tribes (the “Nation”) is taking steps to update the interior layout and design of its Administration Department building located at 5760 Allenby Road, Duncan. The Nation is seeking to engage private sector firms with experience and proven capacity to deliver Architectural layout and design, project management, and construction supervision services.

This request for proposals (RFP) has been issued to evaluate prospective firms with demonstrated capacity to assemble a team of professionals to complete the redesign of the Administration Department building, prepare tender documents and project manage construction of the project.

The project falls within Cowichan Tribes Administration offices site where a majority of our employees work. The building was constructed in the early 1990’s for the Administration employees at the time. Over the past 10 years, as the Administration Department has built up its
organizational structure, has outgrown their building and is in need of a redesign of the layout and space.

The Nation is looking to have the indoor space redesigned to include improved entrance and flow through the building, increased office space, improved security and emergency access for visitors and employees.

The Cowichan Tribes is seeking proposals for an architectural team to provide for design, tendering, and construction project management services to redesign and construct the interior building space. This project will require a Proponent with a team experienced in working with
structural, electrical and mechanical engineers, interior designers, security specialists and project management given the significant works required for this project.
