The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite Proponents to prepare and submit competitive Proposals to provide the Whitecourt / Woodlands Regional Solid Waste Management Authority (WRSWMA) with full-service solid waste and recycling services for the Whitecourt Transfer Station, including:
a) Bin rental prices and tipping fees (dump and return) for 30-yard, 8-yard, and 6-yard solid waste and recycling bins at the Whitecourt Transfer Station as well as one 30-yard bin at the Whitecourt Regional Landfill;
b) Costs associated with processing approximately 187 tonnes of recycling each year; and
c) An evaluation of existing practices, complete with recommendations and services which may innovate or improve existing practices.
Through the RFP process, the Whitecourt / Woodlands Regional Solid Waste Management Authority (WRSWMA) is seeking to enter into a long-term contract for the Services with an experience, qualified contractor to properly perform the services in a cost-effective manner. Proponents are also encouraged to include creative solutions or innovations their firm provides that may enhance services and/or waste diversion.
