Description

To ensure compatibility with existing products; The University is looking to procure IR Biotyper from Buker. The IR Biotyper consists of Bruker’s Infrared Spectrometer and dedicated subtyping software along with being combined with the Bruker MALDI Biotyper. With a time to result of <3 h from the cultured sample, it allows for proactive infection control through ‘real-time epidemiology’ and timely QC and source tracking in industries such as food and pharma. As both systems can run samples from the same culture, strain typing with IR Biotyper can be done immediately after the identification of a microorganism with the MALDI Biotyper has been achieved.
