This includes a receiving hopper with a capacity of 20 to 30 cubic meters, equipped with a safety grid to prevent large objects or foreign materials from entering the process. From there, bucket elevators, with a handling capacity of 60 to 80 tons per hour, transport ingredients like corn and meals vertically. For horizontal movement of materials, chain conveyors (Redlers) are used. The materials are then stored in vertical silos, each with a storage capacity ranging from 100 to 500 tons. To ensure a continuous and controlled flow, discharge systems such as screw conveyors or vibrating bottoms are installed at the silo outlets.
  
  The next stage is the grinding system, where the raw materials are processed by a hammer mill powered by a 132 kW (~180 HP) high-speed motor (running at 3, 000 rpm). This equipment is capable of producing 15 to 20 tons per hour of ground corn. The hammer mill features a quick-change sieve system for easy maintenance and flexibility. An aspiration system composed of a cyclone, fan, and bag filter ensures the removal of dust and fine particles, improving air quality and reducing explosion risks.
  
  Following grinding, the process moves to the dosing and weighing section. Here, weighing hoppers with load cells measure exact quantities of ingredients. The plant includes automatic feeders capable of handling up to ten different dry ingredients. In addition, liquid tanks are used for storing oils, molasses, and additives, and are equipped with metering pumps for precise dosing during mixing.
  
  The mixing system includes a horizontal twin-shaft paddle or ribbon mixer with a batch capacity of around 2, 000 kg and a typical mixing time of 3 to 5 minutes. This mixer may be equipped with a liquid injection system to allow uniform incorporation of liquid additives. After mixing, the product is transferred to intermediate buffer silos, ensuring a consistent feed rate to the pelletizing section.
  
  In the pelletizing line, a pellet mill powered by a 250 to 300 kW motor compresses the mixed feed into pellets at a rate of 15 tons per hour. A steam conditioner is integrated to improve pellet quality, which requires a steam boiler capable of producing 1, 000 to 2, 000 kg/h at 10 bar pressure. The hot pellets are then passed through a counterflow cooler to reduce their temperature and moisture content. A rotary or vibrating screener follows to separate fines from finished pellets.
  
  Once pelleted, the feed moves to the bagging and packaging section. An automatic bagging scale fills bags of 25 or 50 kg, followed by an automatic sewing or sealing machine to close the bags. The sealed bags are then organized by a palletizing system, which can be semi or fully automatic, and moved using bag conveyor belts to the storage or shipping area.
  
  To manage the operation, the plant includes a comprehensive automation and control system. Electrical panels with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) are connected to an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) that provides real-time production data, traceability, and control of formulations. Remote access through Wi-Fi or Ethernet allows for off-site monitoring and troubleshooting.
  
  Lastly, dust control and safety systems are critical. The factory is equipped with bag filters with automatic cleaning systems, rotary airlocks for dust discharge, and metal detectors and level sensors to ensure product safety.
