    We are currently developing a Long Welded Rail (LWR) production facility and are in the process of evaluating suppliers for the post-weld grinding system associated with flash butt welding operations.Within this framework, we kindly request your technical and commercial proposal for a complete and integrated grinding solution designed specifically for the treatment of flash butt welding joints under continuous industrial operation.

    The application scope includes the grinding of flash butt weld joints, removal of weld upset material, restoration of the rail head profile, and final finishing of the rail surface after welding.The system will be used in a production environment handling rail type 115 RE with a linear weight of 56.99 kg/m.The process involves short input rails of 24 m length and final welded rails of 120 m length, supported continuously on roller-based handling systems and manipulated through distributed lifting configurations.

    We are seeking a complete solution that may include, but is not limited to, a weld trimming system, a heavy-duty grinding unit, and a finishing grinding unit.The weld trimming system, preferably hydraulic or equivalent, shall be capable of efficiently removing the upset material generated during flash butt welding.The primary grinding unit shall be a rail profile grinding machine suitable for continuous industrial use, capable of removing excess weld material and restoring the rail head geometry with high accuracy, including treatment of both the running surface and lateral faces of the rail.The finishing grinding unit may be portable or semi-portable and shall allow precise surface finishing, particularly in areas requiring detailed adjustment or confined access.

    The proposed system must be specifically designed for flash butt welding applications and not for general-purpose grinding.High repeatability and consistent grinding quality are essential requirements.The equipment shall be capable of restoring the rail profile geometry with smooth transitions across the welded joint, ensuring the absence of surface defects and compliance with standard rail geometry tolerances.The system must be compatible with continuous industrial operation and adaptable to multi-point supported rails moving on roller-based transport systems.

    Please clearly indicate the proposed power and drive configuration, including whether the system is electric, hydraulic, gasoline-powered, or a hybrid solution.Specify power ratings in kW or HP and provide your recommended configuration based on the described application.The system must be robust, reliable, and suitable for high-cycle industrial usage.

    The production requirement for this project is estimated at approximately 200 welds per batch, under industrial conditions.The equipment must therefore demonstrate high durability, operational stability, and minimal downtime.The environmental conditions at the installation site include temperatures ranging from 25°C to 40°C, humidity levels between 70% and 95%, and an outdoor or semi-covered installation environment.

    Your proposal shall include detailed technical specifications, equipment configuration, power requirements, weight and dimensions, and a complete list of included accessories such as guides, rollers, or alignment systems.Please also indicate the recommended number of units for the described application, a spare parts list, delivery time, and a commercial quotation under EXW or FOB terms.Additionally, indicate whether your company can provide system integration support, commissioning assistance, operator training, and after-sales service.
