• The Department of Surface Transport (DoST), Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT), Royal Government of Bhutan (hereinafter called “Recipient”) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Accelerating Transport and Trade Connectivity in Eastern South Asia Phase 2 - Bhutan Project. Part of the project is being implemented by the (the “Client”). The Client intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Carrying out of Lineament Mapping for Chamkharchhu II Hydropower Project (HPP), Zhemgang Dzongkhag and Chamkharchhu IV HPP, Bumthang Dzongkhag.
• The Department of Surface Transport (DoST), Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT now invites a sealed Bids from the eligible Bidders for Carrying out of Lineament Mapping for Chamkharchhu II HPP and Chamkharchhu IV HPP. The non-consulting services include evaluation of potential impact of geological structures such as faults, joints, shears zones etc on the hydropower component such as Dam, Tunnels and Powerhouse. The location of services will be Chamkharchhu II Hydropower Project, Zhemgang Dzongkhag and Chamkharchhu IV Hydropower Project, Bumthang Dzongkhag. The delivery period for the services is 100 days.
• Bidding will be conducted through National Open Competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”, Fifth Edition, September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”).
• The Bid will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents in order to determine its substantial responsiveness.
• The Bidders may obtain further information from DGPC, contact person Ms. Sonam Choden, during office hours from 0900 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
• The bidding document in English will be issued to the Bidders, who wish to participate in the bidding. The bidding document is available at the address mentioned below.
• Bid must be delivered to the address below on or before 3.00 PM (BST) on March 18, 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. The outer Bid envelope marked “ORIGINAL BID”, and the inner envelope marked “TECHNICAL PART” and “FINANCIAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidder’s designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below on March 18, 2026 at 3.30 PM (BST).
• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of BTN 45,000.00 (BTN Forty Five Thousand) only.
