• The Royal Government of Bhutan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the procurement of neurosurgical equipment.
• The Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH), under the Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the procurement of neurosurgical equipment.
• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Fourth Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH), Mr. Sherab Jamtsho, Assistant Procurement Officer, sherabj@jdwnrh.gov.bt and inspect the bidding document during office hours Mon-Friday 9:00am to 3:00 pm (BST) at the address given below. The bidding document is also available in the websites of www.jdwnrh.gov.bt which can be downloaded for viewing/ inspection purpose only but not for use in the preparation and submission of bids.
• The4 bidding document in English to be purchased on free of Cost by the interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by the courier, and its fees (courier fees) will be paid by the bidder.
• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before May 05, 2023, at 15.00 hours BST (GMT + 6 hours). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on May 05, 2023, at 15.30 hours BST (GMT + 6 hours). The bid opening meeting will also be conducted live through virtual connection for those bidders who may be unable to attend in person. The virtual connection details will be sent, not later than 7 (seven) calendar days before the specified deadline date of bid submission, to all the bidders who purchased the bidding documents.
• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security of USD 5400 or equivalent convertible Currency.
• “Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
