The Government of Belize has received financing from the World Bank for the Belize Blue Cities and Beyond Project, being implemented by the Ministry of Finance. The Belize Blue Cities and Beyond Project aims to improve Belize"s management capacity for sustainable coastal and blue economy development, increase safe water supply and reduce land-based pollution discharges at targeted urban areas, and in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency, to respond promptly and effectively to it. This project seeks to enhance municipal infrastructure such as water and sanitation, waste management, and coastal protection to support Belize’s long-term blue economy sustainability.
The Ministry of Finance invites qualified individuals to apply for the contractual position of Data Analyst under the Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI). The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing technical support to CZMAI’s data management program to guide planning and decision-making for sustainable use and management of Belize’s coastal resources. In addition, the Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, interpreting and using investigative skills in summarizing and presenting spatial and non-spatial data with detailed analytical reports to provide usable information that can identify patterns and trends to aid in decision making and strategic planning for improved integrated coastal and ocean management.

The selection for this contractual position will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (February 2025) and the Consultant Guidelines (2011), using the Individual Consultant Selection method. The process will also adhere to the procurement policies and the best practices of the Government of Belize. This selection is open to all eligible individuals as defined by the referenced policies.
