The Government of Belize has received financing from the World Bank (WB) for the execution of the Belize Reliant and Resilient Energy System Project, to be implemented by the Ministry of Finance. This Project aims to enhance the country’s electricity infrastructure by integrating 40 MW of battery energy storage to facilitate future renewable energy adoption, improve grid resilience against extreme weather conditions and provide technical assistance for system optimization.

The Ministry of Finance invites qualified individuals to apply for the contractual position of Project Manager within its Central Executing Unit (CEU). The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the BRRES Project. The Project Manager will ensure that all activities are effectively planned, executed, and monitored in accordance with the World Bank Guidelines, GOB regulations, and the sustainability objectives of the Project. The Project manager will act as the bridge between strategic objectives and operational execution, ensuring alignment between the project deliverables and the overarching development goal of the Government of Belize. This includes leadership in planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and reporting.

The selection for this contractual position will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (February 2025) and the Consultant Guidelines (2011), using the Individual Consultant Selection method. The process will also adhere to the procurement policies and the best practices of the Government of Belize. This selection is open to all eligible individuals as defined by the referenced policies.

Applications must be submitted in English, using the required template, no later than December 5, 2025, by 10:00 a.m. (Local Belize Time). Late submissions will not be considered.
