1. The Belize Water Services Limited has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Belize Blue Cities and Beyond Project (P181064) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Works Contract for Water Network Expansion for South San Pedro.

The Belize Water Services Limited now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Works Contract for Water Network Expansion for South San Pedro. Location of works is San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. The scope of works to be implemented includes about 3.484 km of 8-inch distribution water main, 0.64 km of 6-inch distribution water main, and 3.74km of 4-inch distribution water main. The duration is approximately 12 months. Estimated value of works is $2,000,000.00 Belize Dollars.

2. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Seventh Edition dated September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ms. Stephanie Lozano, Procurement Specialist, Belize Water Services Limited, and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the address given below 7 Central American Boulevard, Belize City or submit a request for bidding documents to email address, rce@bwsl.com.bz.

4. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before October 31st, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders, designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address, 7 Central American Boulevard, Belize City on October 31st, 2025, at 2:15 p.m.

5. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of 3% of bid amount in Belize Dollars.

6. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
