The Government of Belize has received financing from Word Bank (WB) for the implementation of the Project - Belize Blue Cities and Beyond. This Project aims to improve Belize"s management capacity for sustainable coastal and blue economy development, by enhancing municipal infrastructure, such as water and sanitation, waste management, and coastal protection, to support Belize’s long-term blue economy sustainability.

The Ministry of Finance invites qualified individuals to apply for the contractual position of Civil Engineer within the Central Executing Unit (CEU). This role involves undertaking activities related to, but not limited to, all building, civil, and environmental engineering works in accordance with the provisions of the Project. The Civil Engineer will also be actively engaged in the coordination and management of all projects under the CEU, ensuring consistent oversight and support across the CEU’s project portfolio.

The selection for this contractual position will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (February 2025) and the Consultant Guidelines (2011), using the Individual Consultant Selection method. The process will also adhere to the procurement policies and the best practices of the Government of Belize. This selection is open to all eligible individuals as defined by the referenced policies.

Application packages should be submitted in English, using the required template before or on September 15, 2025, by 10:00 p.m. (Local Belize Time). Late submissions will not be accepted.
