1. The People"s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the “Bangladesh Regional Waterway Transport Project-1(BRWTP-1)” and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the procurement of Hydrographic Survey and Related Equipment.

• Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Hydrographic Survey and Related Equipment under the three Lots of contract mentioned below.

Quantities, locations of supply, and delivery period in detail have been described in the bidding document.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers, version January 2011/revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7, which set forth the World Bank’s policy on conflicts of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mr. Col Md. Ferdous Ahmed psc Project Director, Bangladesh Regional Waterway Transport Project 1 (BRWTP-1), BIWTA, and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 09:00 to 16:00 Hours BST (GMT+6) at the Office of the Project Director at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 8,500.00 in Bangladesh Taka or 80.00 in US Dollars. The written application may also be sent from the bidder"s official email address to the Purchaser"s official email address specified below, along with a copy of documentary evidence confirming electronic wire transfer payment to the Purchaser"s bank account. Payment will be made by either Pay Order/Demand Draft issued in favor of “BRWTP-1” or an electronic wire transfer to the Purchaser"s bank account specified below. The bidding documents will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and by hand, surface mail or courier for local delivery. Softcopy of the bidding documents is available (for viewing only) at the website www.biwta.gov.bdfor information only.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14:00 Hours BST (GMT+6) on 05 April 2026. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders" designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 05 April 2026 at 14:30 Hours BST (GMT+6). No bidding document will be issued from the Office of the Project Director on the last date of submission.

A Pre-bid meeting shall be held at the Conference Room, Office of the Project Director, BRWTP-1, BIWTA, BSC Tower(level-19), 2-3 Rajuk Avenue, Motijheel, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh on 12 March 2026 at 11.00 Hours, BST (GMT+6 hours). The pre-bid meeting will also be held virtually via Zoom or another convenient platform for bidders who are unable to attend in person. The virtual connection details will be sent via email to all bidders who purchased the bidding documents 3 calendar days before the pre-bid meeting.
