Tender Description

- The Government of Bahrain as represented by the Ministry of Works intends to augment the existing road network by developing new road corridors to support the rapidly expanding economy of the Kingdom. The proposed corridors include the Busaiteen Link. The works consists of the construction of 8.3km of dual 4 lane main highway, 2.4km of associated dual carriageway,3 storm surface water lifting stations & adjustment to airport runway approach lights in addition to all associated works as mentioned in tender documents & drawings. - Contract duration 64 weeks. - Initial bond 2 - 5%

- Technical Proposal will be opened first, only bidders who pass will be financially evaluated and The Technical Proposal must not include any financial information.

- Contract Duration 64 weeks.
- Initial Bond 2-5%
- i.) Saudi Contractor (100%) registered as per Deputy Ministry for Contractor Classification in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under Class A for Roads Works.

ii.) Saudi Contractor (100%) registered as per Deputy Ministry for Contractor Classification in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under Class A for Roads Works, JV with Bahraini Contractors registered under Category AA for Road Works as per Ministry of Works, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

iii.) Saudi Contractor (100%) registered as per Deputy Ministry for Contractor Classification in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under Class A for Road Works JV Foreign Contractor.,- تعتزم حكومة مملكة البحرين ممثلة بوزارة الأشغال بدعم وزيادة شبكة الطرق القائمة بتطوير محاور طرق جديدة لتواكب النمو الاقتصادي المتسارع بالمملكة، ومنها شارع جسر البسيتين – الحزمة الثالثة: أعمال الطرق والتقاطعات السطحية (من التقاطع الأول حتى الرابع)، وتشمل الأعمال إنشاء الشارع الرئيسي المزدوج بأربعة مسارات مرورية لكل اتجاه بطول 8,3 كم، والشوارع المؤدية المزدوجة بثلاثة مسارات مرورية لكل اتجاه بطول 2,4 كم، وثلاثة محطات رفع لمياه تصريف مياه الأمطار، وتعديل إنارة إرشاد الطائرات إلى مدرج المطار، بالإضافة إلى جميع الأعمال ذات العلاقة كما هو موضح بمستندات والمخططات الهندسية للمناقصة
- سيتم فتح العطاءات الفنية أولا ، وسيتم فتح العطاءات المالية للذين يتجاوزون التقييم الفني ويجب ألا يتضمن العطاء الفني أي معلومات مالية
- 64 أسبوع.
- الضمان الأبتدائي 2-5%

- ستتم دعوة المقاولين الذين لديهم خبرة سابقة مختصة في إنشاء الطرق والشوارع لتقديم عطاءاتهم حسب التصنيف التالي:

1) المقاولين السعوديين (100%) مسجلين بحسب وكالة تصنيف المقاولين بالمملكة العربية السعودية الفئة (أ) تحت أعمال الطرق.

2) المقاولين السعوديين (100%) المسجلين بحسب وكالة تصنيف المقاولين بالمملكة العربية السعودية الفئة (أ) تحت أعمال الطرق في ائتلاف مع المقاولين البحرينيين الفئة (أأ) تحت أعمال الطرق بحسب تصنيف وزارة الأشغال، مملكة البحرين.

1) 3) المقاولين السعوديين (100%) مسجلين بحسب وكالة تصنيف المقاولين بالمملكة العربية السعودية الفئة (أ) تحت أعمال الطرق مع شركات العالمية.

How to Participate?

• Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://e-tendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Monday, 09 January 2023
• Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
• For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
• The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.

• This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
• In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
• Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender"s subject.
• Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
• This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
• Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender.
