This is Advance Notice of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for research projects to be delivered under the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) Program, for the capability effect of Persistent and Pervasive Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance.
Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) is transforming the way breakthrough military solutions are delivered by rapidly translating innovative technologies into capabilities that will help take Defence further, faster.
Working in close collaboration with defence industry and academic research organisations, ASCA’s Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) program focusses on shaping and future proofing the defence innovation ecosystem. The EDT Program is not intended to deliver short-term acquisition outcomes; its focus is the delivery of discovery, new knowledge, concepts and prototypes to help protect against surprise and build capability to provide an international capability edge for Australia.
P2ISR refers to the development of new technologies or new knowledge to strengthen and develop Persistent and Pervasive Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capabilities in the 2035+ timeframe (Future Force).
For this call to market, ASCA EDT is looking for cutting-edge, innovative proposals to apply one or more of the following emerging technology areas to the Opportunity Statements for the P2ISR capability effect, in or across any of the Defence domains:
Communication Solutions,
Beyond Classical Computing,
Pervasive Sensing,
Space Capabilities,
Smart Machines.
Submissions received in response to previous ASCA Approaches to Market (ATMs), are not automatically reconsidered for this RFP
