This is a pre-release notice only, to provide advance notification that the National Museum Australia (NMA) anticipates a single-stage open market Expression of Interest (EOI) for a long-term lease of a suitable storage facility (to provide up to 3,000 m2 of storage) located in Mitchell, ACT. The NMA will provide a functional design brief outlining its requirements for the storage facility. It is anticipated that relevant EOI documentation will be released through AusTender in January 2026. This notice does not commit NMA to the procurement activity.

Potential tenderers should regularly check AusTender for updates. All official information about the proposed EOI will be published on AusTender in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules - potential respondents should not rely on information from other sources and must not approach any NMA personnel regarding the anticipated EOI.

NMA is releasing this notice solely for the purpose of providing information and advising industry of the upcoming approach to market. Any information provided is subject to change at NMA"s discretion.

More information will be made available when the EOI documents are published.

The EOI will require potential tenderers to manage any conflicts of interest (actual, potential or perceived) that they may have and potential tenderers should consider conflicts of interest at this early stage.
