TAMW training relates to Navy maritime warfare and incorporates training uniform personnel in various basic skills, ship handling, navigation, surface warfare and advanced multisite synthetic warfare. To deliver training, schools operate a considerable number of training systems of varying complexities which simulate the functionality of military systems fitted on sea going units. Training systems can be of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) grade or of Military Specification (MILSPEC) grade.

The Services required in the Training Systems Technical Support Contract involves providing system administration, technical and engineering support, management of ICT training assets, management of spares holdings, preventative and corrective maintenance services, and repair of defective parts. The services are required to support the TAMW training system.
