The Australian Institute of Marine Science’s main research facility, located at Cape Ferguson, approximately 50km South of Townsville, requires a receival, despatch and delivery service for;

• Operation as a receiving/collection point for goods by contract freight forwarders engaged on an ad-hoc basis by the Institute
• The collection and consolidation of locally procured goods and subsequent delivery to the Institute
• Collection and consolidation of outbound goods from the institute to various drop-off points within Townsville

It is expected that the successful contractor will maintain a permanent management presence in Townsville

Previous Judicial Decision

It is a requirement of the commonwealth procurement rules that the aims must not enter into a contract with an organisation, or where relevant any of its directors, that has ever had a judicial decision against them (not including decisions under appeal) relating to employee entitlements or engaged in practices that have been found to be dishonest, unethical or unsafe.

Workplace Gender Equality

The Australian government has adopted a policy of not purchasing goods or services from suppliers who do not comply with their obligations, if any, under the workplace gender equality act 2012 (Cth).

A letter of compliance is to be provided with this Response.
