Defence is undertaking the procurement to deliver a web mapping application that achieves Defence’s requirement to present UXO records to the public and maintain the application.

The delivered web mapping application shall be a public facing, interactive web mapping application that is, accessible via modern internet web browsers, is tightly aligned to specified requirements, and delivers the required information to users. The contractor will be required to deliver a web mapping application, maintain the application (including any systems or platforms it is dependent on), update the data periodically and provide periodic system security testing and accessibility audits throughout the term of the contract.

Below are the expected deliverables of the project:

a) Provision of a UXO Mapping Application that meets functional and non function requirements (including penetration & security testing, accessibility audit).

b) Maintenance and updates of the UXO Mapping Application, its system hardware and software, and its data (quarterly) for an initial period of 5 years following Defence’s acceptance of the solution. Additional optional two 12 Month terms at the discretion of the Commonwealth.

c) Provision of a standard documentation including but not limited to design and project execution plan documents, sign offs, reporting, security testing.

Required technical details:

a) Web application will have similar style and components to the current public UXO Mapping Application.

b) The UXO data being supplied by Defence will be in geodatabase format.

c) Secure hosting environment with back up and disaster recovery set up.

Resultant contract six months from the effective date.
