The Gallery requires a long term consistent and wholistic approach to fire compliance and safety.
There are two components to this procurement.

Stage 1 (fixed scope and pricing)
The Gallery aims to improve fire compliance and overall safety of the gallery through a review of the current building conditions, existing reports and the creation of a forward plan. This initial report is to be in the format of a condition and recommendation report alongside a prioritization list – these documents will integrate a cost plan, risk assessment and recommended packages of works for delivery.

Stage 2 (provisional items)
2a – Provisional item subject to available funding. This involves an annual review and update of the recommendation report and prioritization list.

2b - Provisional item subject to need and available funding. The consultant may be required to provide case by case recommendations to a variety of different facets of the gallery.

Conditions for Participation:

Registered engineers for the following specialisations:

Fire Services Engineering (with passive fire specialisation), Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

Sufficient insurances as determined by the National Gallery of Australia:

Professional Indemnity Insurance. Minimum cover $20m

Public Liability Insurance. Minimum cover $10m.

Timeframe for Delivery:

Stage 1 to be delivered by 31 May 2025
