The project objective is to deliver additional EO storage facilities close to maintenance, dispatch and receipt facilities to limit transport induced road shock, decrease weapons maintenance intervals and increase availability of operation and training ordnance.

At the time this Market Sounding is published, the Commonwealth anticipates that the scope of the Project will be:

• Construction of one (1) new Traversed Light Frangible Building (LFB) for the storage of Explosive Ordnance (LFB is lightweight steel framing structure and steel roofing. Concrete hardstand and flooring) – first priority;

• Refurbishment works of an existing hardstand to repair the existing surface and to install lighting/CCTV and earthing points for future electrical infrastructure – second priority;

• Refurbishment and conversion of an existing plant room in BLD L200 to a communications room / fit out works in the administration office; and

• Supporting infrastructure:

o New upstream High Voltage (HV) infrastructure upgrades to increase capacity to the site. The HV design is currently ongoing with consultation between the PMCA, Design Team and Essential Energy (the local HV provider).

o New communications and security conduits to connect to buildings to support CCTV and communications;

o Civil works and drainage to support the creation of the new buildings, hardstands and roads (approximately 400m).
