The Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW), including the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) maintain a fleet of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).

The Environmental Stewardship Program’s (ESP) “A Cleaner Antarctica” (ACA) project seeks to procure a magnetometer designed to be mounted to an RPAS (drone) in order to support detection of buried metallic wastes (for example fuel drums, machinery and other ferrous objects) associated with legacy waste across the Australian Antarctic Territory (AAT).
