The AAD requires a new CMF to replace the existing one which is approaching the end of its operational life. The CMF is used to supplement medical capacity on chartered vessels, that do not meet standards required by the AAD’S Polar Medicine Unit (PMU). A secondary function of the CMF, is that it may be placed on one of the AAD’s Research Stations in the Antarctic or Sub-Antarctic in an emergency, to supplement or replace the existing medical facilities (e.g. in the event of catastrophic failure of an existing facility).

Reporting to the AAD Project Lead via the CMF Project Manager Supplier, the Supplier will be responsible for the design, construction, certification, delivery/commissioning and warranty service of the CMF.

The supply must be provided in accordance with the Statement of Requirement (SoR) in the ATM and subject to the terms and conditions set out in, or referred to, in ATM 23/5393 Design, Fabrication and Warranty Services for a Containerised Medical Facility.

Timeframe for Delivery:

Delivery and commissioning of the CMF is anticiipated to be completed by 30 June 2025.
