The Department of Health and Aged Care seeks to engage the services of organisations for the provision of surge workforce services to assist residential aged care homes in the management of COVID-19 outbreaks and other emergency events.

The Department of Health and Aged Care is seeking proposals from interested organisations who can provide a pool of suitably qualified staff which can be deployed to residential aged care homes across Australia during an outbreak of COVID-19, and/or during an emergency event as directed by the Commonwealth. The Department requires organisations at short notice, to provide timely access to surge workforce staff for placement at residential aged care homes that may have varying needs, such as culturally and linguistically diverse, rural, and remote or First Nations people.

Other Instructions:

All workforce accreditations should align with the relevant Australian Standards for Aged Care.
