This is a notice of potential upcoming procurement.

The Army Aviation program of works will deliver fit for purpose facilities and infrastructure for Army Aviation projects including the facilities for the Apache helicopters and 16 Brigade. The project is proposed to include works at RAAF Townsville, Queensland as stated in the Defence Strategic Review (DSR). The decision to locate this capability at this location remains subject to Second Pass Approval. The works will include adapting and optimisation of current infrastructure and facilities to support the increased number and spatial requirements of the Apache and in addition the construction of new buildings to meet the functional requirements.

Potential tenderers are advised that the procurement strategy for the program of works involves the engagement of a Managing Contractor (MC) to deliver the design and construction, via a single stage Request for Tender (RFT). It is anticipated that the tender will be released in July 2023.

Tenderers will be required to demonstrate their capacity to deliver large scale facilities and infrastructure in an operating environment as part of the RFT response.
