It is intended for the Birnbeck 2A Landward Works to commence in early February 2025.
The works in scope are as follows:

Landward Enabling Works:
- Site setup to include provision of welfare, temporary service connections, renewal of hoarding and site boundary fencing installation.
- Site wide clearance and salvage, protect and record including removal and storage of the Historic Gate Line.
- Repair/reinstatement of sea wall including steel beam replacement.
External Repairs:
- Pier View repairs and refurbishment.
- South Toll House & Shell Shop repair and refurbishment.
Refurbishment:
- Pier Masters Cottage repair and refurbishment.
- Demolition of Pier Cottage existing Northern Extension.
New Development:
- Pier Master’s cottage café extension.
- WC block with bin and cycle store.
- New service connections and landside external lighting.
- Landscaping of landward site.

Escorted site visits are to be conducted on 29 October and 06 November 2024, details are noted in the Invitation to Tender, Vol 1 - Instructions for Tendering document.
