Description of the contract
The Welsh Government wishes to commission an independent evaluation of the Trio Sci Cymru (TSC) operation. The evaluation should provide an assessment of the operation’s implementation and impact. TSC was a 2014-2020 European Social Fund operation to increase the take up of, and attainment Levels in STEM Subjects Amongst 11-19 year olds. TSC used STEM enrichment interventions to increase “Science Capital” capacity and encourage STEM take-up in relation to GCSE science subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). TSC aimed to engage 5,690 pupils aged 11-14 in up to 30 schools within the West Wales and Valleys (WWV) area.
