Roof Mounted Solar PV & Battery Storage System at Barry Fire Station

The Customer requires the Bidder to provide a full turnkey solution covering the following three elements, detailed further below, for implementation of the solar PV and battery system:

1. Design

2. Supply & installation

3. Operation and maintenance (O&M) for the first 5 years of the system’s life

The Customer will also consider entering into a yearly rolling maintenance contract. Bidders are encouraged to provide a response with costs for the following items that will be valid for a period of 5 years:

1. Yearly basic operation and maintenance (O&M)

2. Schedule of rates for O&M

Relates to the following project/programme financed by EU Community Funds: The Customer is planning to finance via the Wales Funding Programme, which is Welsh Government Finance administered by Salix Finance. The Wales Funding Programme combines both the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme (SEELS) and the Invest to Save-Green (I2S) Growth finance products into one application process. Both the I2S and SEELS schemes provide funding at 0% with nominally an 8-year payback and maximum capital expenditure of £200 per lifetime of CO2 saved based on Salix published persistence factors.
