Ucheldre Phase 1 Repairs and Renewals: Space for 21st Century Well-being

Description of the contract

Ucheldre has nearly completed Stage 4 for a newbuild extension to the existing Listed Building which is used as an arts centre. As there is a tight deadline to complete all the works by March 2025, Ucheldre has split the construction into 2 Phases. Phase 1 is to get ahead with the Repairs and Renewal of the existing building to be followed by Phases 2a, 2b, and 2c which will involve the Newbuild facilities. The Tender for Phase 2 works is likely to be posted on Sell2Wales on Friday 11 August 2023.

Ucheldre needs to keep functioning during the construction period hence the phased approach to the works. The thinking behind this is explained in the Procurement Policy Document (Document No 1b). Also attached are details of the Phases with timings (Document No 2c). The detailed drawings (Document No 2) and Tender Schedule listed in the Tender Instructions (Document No 1) for the Repairs and Renewal Phase are the basis for the Phase 1 Tender.
