Counselling Service for Employees

Cyngor Gwynedd invites tenders from qualified providers to provide a range of counselling services to Cyngor Gwynedd’s employees, in accordance with the needs set out the Specification document.

The proposed contract period is 01 December 2023 - 30 November 2026 (with break clauses at the end of the first and second year).

3 year contract (with break clause options at the end of the first and second year).

Some of the minimum standards and qualifications required include:

- The successful service provider will be required to be a qualified clinical professional under BACP (or equivalent) standards of practice; and

- Counsellors must hold a counselling qualification to diploma level or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years supervised counselling practice, and they must have evidence of continual professional development; and

- The successful service provider must be able to hold counselling sessions and provide the contact service through the medium of fluent Welsh and English; and

- The successful service provider"s staff must be appropriately certified by the disclosure and barring service (DBS).
