Description
UNICEF has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a qualified supplier for the supply and installation of full-height turnstile gates and related accessories at UNICEF Field
Offices in Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi and Sokoto States, Nigeria. This procurement forms part of UNICEF Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen security and access control at its field offices. In
response to increasing operational and security requirements, UNICEF seeks to install robust, logic-controlled turnstile gates to regulate and monitor staff and visitor movement, prevent
unauthorized access, and enhance the overall safety of personnel and assets. The installation will also take into account the architectural design and façade of each office location. The
assignment covers the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, training, warranty and after-sales support for the turnstile systems, in accordance with UNICEF security
standards and the detailed technical specifications and mandatory requirements set out in the Terms of Reference (TOR). The estimated duration of the assignment is one (1) month, with
implementation planned between 1 March 2026 and 30 April 2026. The tender will be conducted through the UNICEF e-submissions system. Vendors are required to register on the United Nations
Global Marketplace (UNGM) and to express interest in the tender via the UNGM notice in order to access the full solicitation documents and submission instructions. Only vendors registered
on UNGM and compliant with UNGM registration requirements will be able to submit an offer. Vendors are advised to opt in to the tender in the e-submissions system well in advance of the
submission deadline in order to review all mandatory document placeholders and any questionnaires required for submission. Vendors are also encouraged to regularly check the e-submissions
platform for any clarifications, amendments, or updates to the solicitation documents. All offers must be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the UNICEF
e-submissions system. Incomplete submissions or bids that do not meet the mandatory technical and administrative requirements may be deemed non-responsive.
