Description of the Assignment:  Victim Advocates for GBV and DV survivors were introduced in many countries to provide dedicated support, guidance, and protection for survivors as they navigate legal, medical, and psychosocial systems.  Institutionalizing victim advocacy through such initiatives is important because it ensures consistent, survivor-centered services, strengthens access to justice, and helps prevent re-traumatization by making systems more responsive and accountable to survivors’ needs.

In this context, UNDP Maldives together with Family Protection Agency is seeking to engage an international consultant to develop a comprehensive framework for the introduction and institutionalization of Victim Advocates in the Maldives.

Period of assignment/services: 67 days within the period of February and September 2026
