Call for External Collaborator – Updating and validating the National labour inspection and Occupational Safety and Health policies of the Syrian Arab Republic (Албания - Тендер #68077215)

Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The Consultant will review the draft National labour inspection and OSH policies of the Syrian Arab Republic, which were drafted in 2021, with technical support from the ILO, and participate in a relevant validation workshop to be organized by the ILO in Damascus in December 2025. He/she will present the relevant draft reports and discuss them with the participants, who will represent the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MOSAL), other concerned institutions and workers’ and employers’ organizations, and whose relevant comments and inputs should be documented. The Consultant will revise the draft policies in line with the comments and inputs received during the workshop, as well as with those of the concerned ILO specialist/departments and submit an updated final copy of the National labour inspection and OSH policies in both Arabic, to the satisfaction of the ILO and MOSAL. The consultant will also provide technical support to MOSAL team for conducting and assessment of labour inspection and OSH in Syria and developing the relevant assessment report. Please note that if travel is required for this assignment, the necessary travel costs will be covered by the ILO.
