Below is a summary of the work to be performed: To develop a brief capturing key reform measures in China’s maternity protection, with a focus on reducing maternal healthcare costs and the individual financial burden of giving birth. It reviews and analyses current national strategies and showcases successful local practices. By presenting China’s experience, the brief intends to contribute to regional and global exchange and mutual learning on how effective maternity protection policies and measures can reduce the financial burden of maternity. Please note that if travel is required for this assignment, the necessary travel costs will be covered by the ILO.
