Description
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed : The work covers support
to research activities of the ILO regional office for Africa from September to December 2025, in particular, four key areas. 1) A multi-country study on labour income inequality in Africa
(Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Senegal), this includes a literature review, analysis of indices and distributions as well as the factors driving the changes. These factors will include
demographic changes, structural changes labour market institutions such as the minimum wage. 2) Regional Social Justice analysis: data collection on key indicators, and a review of
regional perspectives on social justice, and input to the social justice report. Additional task includes support to activities of the Global Coalition for Social Justice (GCSJ),
including work with African Universities of the GCSJ, in collaboration with ILOITC. 3) Trade and Decent Work: Research digital trade, AfCFTA, AI, and labour market linkages; support
national tripartite consultations (2 countries) and regional training and assist other related initiatives. 4) Review of the Africa Regional Social Protection Strategy (ARSPS): support to
reviewing and revising the ARSPS, stakeholder consultations, drafting input to revisions, review and input to modelling of the Africa Social Protection Clock. f you are interested, please
