UNICEF Thailand is seeking a qualified institution for the provision of Media Monitoring Service as per following details;
Objectives, Purpose & Expected results
UNICEF Thailand is seeking a media monitoring agency to monitor media engagement activities in traditional media (mainly print and online news # with TV as optional). This will help
UNICEF Thailand to better understand the effectiveness of its media outreach and engagement activities on issues related to children; and to identify pressure points on brand reputation
to inform our strategic response.
For this purpose, UNICEF Thailand is seeking to establish a contract with a qualified media monitoring company to monitor and evaluate the impact of UNICEF communication and advocacy
work throughout the country programme period. Communication Section will work closely with the company to oversee the overall management of the contract and to ensure the quality of the
monitoring and analysis services.
Description of the assignment
- Provide daily news alert on media coverage of UNICEF-mentioned in printed and online news outlets with links to download the coverage.
- Provide monthly report that summarizes the number of UNICEF mentioned in all issues and child-related issues, both in all medias and top-tier media.
- Provide UNICEF Thailand with real time access to database and information, trends and insights related to programmatic priorities, humanitarian emergencies and UNICEF initiatives in
general.
- Provide comparative peer analysis (share of voice) with identified comparator organizations.
- Provide training (onsite and/or virtual) for UNICEF of the use of dashboards, when necessary.
Deliverables and Timeline
- Interactive dashboards
The contractor will provide an online database/ dashboard with a quick overview of coverage and trends, housing all of the data being collected for UNICEF, filtering, customized
searches and drill-down to the source. It should
provide access to data over time for trend analysis. The contractor will be responsible for the keeping the dashboard constantly updated with fresh articles and clips.
- Daily email alerts
The contractor will provide daily email alerts including the articles published in the last 24 hours. The email should include basic information such as the main title of the article,
publishing date and time, name of publication and hyperlink to the full clip.
- Monthly qualitative analysis report
The report should include an overview of UNICEFs degree of visibility with respect to key issues, overall tone for coverage of each issue, and highlight threats to UNICEFs
reputation.
The report must include the following
- Number of UNICEF mentions for all issues in all media and in top-tier media.
- Number of UNICEF mentions for child-related issues only in all media and in top-tier media.
- Share of voice of UNICEF for all issues compared with Education Equity Fund, UNHCR, World Vision and Save the Children in all media and top-tier media.
- Share of voice of UNICEF for child-related issue only compared with Education Equity Fund, UNHCR, World Vision and Save the Children in all media and top-tier media.
Remark: UNICEF will provide list of top-tier media
Reporting requirements
- The contractor will be required to submit daily alert and a media monitoring and impact analysis report on a monthly basis.
- The contractor may also be required to submit special reports for specific campaigns or initiatives (details to be discussed on a case by case basis between UNICEF and the
contractor).
Location and Duration
- Initial duration of 12 months from 1 March 2024 with possibility of 12 + 12 months contract extensions based on UNICEF requirements, satisfactory performance, and agreement of both
contracting parties up to a total of 3 years duration.
- The contractor is expected to work at their own office and no travel is expected. The contractor may be invited to visit UNICEF offices at their own expenses for in-person
meeting.

This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system (UNGM).

successfully completed all mandatory information currently required by UNGM when registering.

lead to your Bid being invalidated.
