Description

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy intends to establish a long-term contract for the provision of services and related materials for low and high-pressure systems associated with automotive and workshop equipment at the UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy), on an “as and when required” basis. The requirement is for a highly qualified, experienced, and specialized contractor in the automotive field, to support after-market repairs on air-conditioners, fuel tanks, hydraulic and water systems on vehicles and other equipment. The principal tasks required are as follows: Services - Construction of replacement low and high-pressure hoses and couplings fitted to Workshop and Automotive systems. - Replacement of oil seals on hydraulic pistons. - Repairing/overhauling hydraulic pumps and valves. - Rental of Gas Welding Bottles. The services requested are for repairing items that have deteriorated, damaged, or failed in service on UN vehicles and equipment. The most common and requested services within this contract, will be Hydraulic component repairs-Hose construction and oil seal replacement. Hose construction and other indicated items requiring replacement or repair will be reproduced or repaired by the successful contractor in-line with the original equipment manufacturers specifications and standards. Materials - Sundries/miscellaneous items for air, air-conditioning, hydraulic and water systems, such as O-rings, hose clamps, couplings, cock-valves, oil cap and breather. - Low pressure water hoses. - High pressure hoses and couplings for industrial air systems. - Hydraulic oil filters for generic systems. - Hydraulic oil level sight glasses, temperature gauges and oil tanks. - Supply of Welding Gases. The successful Contractor shall supply all the necessary technical manpower, specialized tools to disassemble/assemble the item, the different sizes & types of hoses and sundries, the different types of couplings and all the associated items that need to be used in the construction of the hose or for the repair of the item. All related services will be performed at the Contractor’s premises. The UNGSC does not foresee any need/requirement for tasks to be conducted in the UNGSC premises, and neither will the UNGSC offer any technical area to carry out these services in question. The UNGSC will manage and bear all related costs to transport the components to and from the Contractor’s facility. Therefore, the Contractor’s facility where the services will be rendered shall not be more distant than 120km’s from the UNGSC’s premises, Piazza del Vento 1, 72100, Brindisi – Italy. The Contract will be established for an initial period of three (3) years, with the UNGSC"s sole option to extend it for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (3+1+1) for a maximum five (5) year period, subject to the UN’s operational requirements and Contractor’s satisfactory performance.
