Synopsis: Added: Aug 29, 2016 11:35 pm The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) has a requirement to provide a temperature and humidity controlled storage space for its priceless collections of musical artifacts. The space also needs to provide adequate protection from intrusion, moisture and foreign contaminants. This project is similar in nature to the previously complete Geography and Maps built in the James Madison Library of Congress (JMLOC)

The contractor shall provide equipment as outlined in the statement of work that fully complies with the attached drawings / specifications and in within the same footprint" (size, weight) as the equipment as the Brand Name and Model Number which can easily be maneuvered throughout the existing access tolerances of the James Madison Library of Congress building, which is listed below.

The required list of equipment to be purchased;

" Qty (1) - DAC-1: Desiccant Dehumidification Air Conditioning Unit
" Qty (1) - DAC-2: Desiccant Dehumidification Air Conditioning Unit
" Qty (1) - VAV-4, Variable Air Volume Box

This project will be solicited as a Request for Proposal for Bid (RFP) with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price, Lowest Price technically Acceptable (LPTA) Supply contract.

The contractor shall provide two instructional classes no less than 8 hours for day and 8 hours for night shift AOC personnel. The training of AOC key personal shall certify competence in proper maintenance and operation of the supplied equipment.

The contractor shall provide all labor material, and equipment necessary to furnish and deliver all HVAC controls for points identified and annotated in the provided drawings and specifications.

This is an unrestricted procurement (that is, full and open competition). The solicitation and related documents will be made available on or about August 29, 2016. The due date for all questions will be Friday September 9, 2016. The due date for receipt of proposals will be by 17:00 (EST) September 16, 2016. The solicitation package will be available electronically at FBO.GOV.
