Synopsis: Added: Dec 14, 2018 1:03 pm U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract to Southwest Microwave, Inc., 9055 S. McKemy St., Tempe, AZ 85285-2946, a small business. The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase Micropoint II parts and components. The equipment will be used to upgrade an existing, vetted, intrusion detection system.

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 "Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions". The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is FAR 13.106-1 (b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. Furthermore, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), the item to be purchased is available from only one source.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED PUBLICLY. The NAICS code is 334290. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 750 employees. The Product Service Code is 6350. If any firms believe they can provide this product they must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quote to driger@usbr.gov within 3 business days of this notice. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Any information received will be treated as market research information for future or similar acquisitions. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
