         Le Parc du Sacré-Cœur, avec son bâtiment historique représentatif, se trouve au sein d"un contexte hétéroclite avec la vieille ville et ses remparts, le quartier d"habitation du nord de la gare, la ligne CFF Payerne-Yverdon et une zone industrielle. Le bâtiment historique avec la chapelle ainsi que les composantes principales des aménagements extérieurs sont sous protection.

         Le projet vise à préciser le caractère du parc, former des espaces extérieurs identitaires de qualité, affirmer la position du bâtiment historique dans le parc et organiser le nouveau volume bâti de manière à ce qu’il s’intègre harmonieusement dans le parc et en relation fonctionnelle avec le bâtiment historique. L"implantation du nouveau bâtiment scolaire vis-à-vis du bâtiment historique établit une nouvelle situation de cours et crée de nouvelles situations d"accès. Au total, 19 salles de classe ainsi que des locaux annexes seront réalisés.
