Le port actuel est d"une capacité d"environ 720 postes de 6 à 45 m dont 131 publics et le solde amodié. Il est certifié ISO 9001/2000, ISO 14001/2004 et gestion environnementale portuaire. L"opération d"aménagement global du port de Beaulieu-Plaisance concerne un périmètre élargi comprenant, outre la concession actuelle, notamment le terre plein A au nord du site, une partie du terre-plein C au sud du site accueillant à ce jour le club de voile (Yacht Club de Beaulieu-sur-Mer) et une bande de terrain sur la partie nord-ouest du site permettant la création d"un éventuel nouvel accès. Ce projet intègre notamment la réalisation d"un port à sec enterré ou semi-enterré de 210 à 250 places et la création d"un parking semi-enterré de 320 à 350 places.

Le concessionnaire se charge d"exploiter et d"entretenir le port de Beaulieu-Plaisance, de recruter et de gérer le personnel. Le concessionnaire doit également financer l"aménagement du port dans la perspective d"élargir le périmètre de la concession actuelle et de réaliser un projet urbain innovant et respectueux de l"environnement.
