Follow-up support package for
Social Impact Management Training “Solutions to Optimizing Value”
Background
Globally, it is estimated that an additional US$2.4 trillion a year will be needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the world by 2030, with US$1.6 trillion
needed globally for infrastructure financing alone.
UNDP Egypt has implemented a first of a kind training aligning with contemporary approaches to managing impact with the aim to catalyse the impact investment ecosystem in Egypt. It also
complements UNDP’s global SDG Impact Program. This program aims to empower investors and businesses with the clarity, insights, and tools required to support and authenticate their
contributions to achieving the SDG’s.
The Social Impact Management Training delivered in February 2019, provided 20 management consultants with the skills and resources they need to carry out their own social impact
analysis. It enabled them to create the culture and systems in place for an organization to improve their impact management. It also prepared individuals to apply for the Social Value
Certificate that is applicable for an organization or project and outlined what is required by a practitioner to produce an impact or Social Return on Investment (SROI) report that can
be assured by Social Value International.
Moreover, participants understood how to measure impact, but also how stakeholder-led evidence can identify where impact can be improved. This aligns with contemporary approaches to
managing impact and how these can be linked to the United Nation’s Global Goals.
In this context, UNDP Egypt country office is seeking a service provider for a follow up support and mentoring package to the 20 management consultants (divided into 5 groups) that have
completed Impact Management training during the month of February, 2019, and are now applying their learning in the field.
The 5-months follow-up support package will provide online support and mentoring including webinars, online video platforms, email communications and phone calls. Its main target is to
help participants to better communicate to their clients, to improve the products they deliver to clients and ensure closure of their client assignments with well -defined agreed-upon
products in a reasonable period, to help their clients to manage their impact in a timely manner, while understanding the benefits of impact management.
Services required
UNDP Egypt is seeking a service provider to deliver a five-month period of online support and mentoring for the Social Impact Management Training, including the following:
- Email communications
- Video and phone calls
- Small groups webinars
- Quality management
- Technical support
- Project Management
The 5-months follow-up support, delivered in English, should be adapted for about 20 consultants (divided into 5 groups) that have completed the Social Impact Management training from
specialists in Impact Management.
The follow-up support should tackle discussions and sessions with experts in this field, high project management skills, and follow-up in small groups where required:
- Review and Feedback on baseline assessments
- Review and Feedback on Qualitative data
- Review and Feedback on Quantitative data and insights
- Final Report of recommendations and reflections on impact management systems including next steps planning
- Help participants to emphasize to their clients benefits of impact management
