         EuroAsia Interconnector is a multi-terminal VSC-HVDC scheme which will connect Israel, Cyprus and Greece (Crete), and will comprise 3 converter stations with sea electrodes, interconnected by cables. Stage 1 of the project will allow the transfer of 1.000 MW between converter stations and the voltage level will be ±500 kV.

         The scheme will be developed under 4 main tender procedures:

         — procurement of the VSC HVDC converter stations,

         — procurement of the HVDC cable system,

         — procurement of the sea-electrodes and MVDC cables,

         — procurement of the civil works for land cable system.

         This process concerns the second of the above tender processes and encompasses the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the HVDC cable system.
